Bee Inspired

Challenge

When four local women took the plunge and began creating gift boxes that contain a collection of daily inspirational quotes out of their homes they needed to get the word out on this uplifting and positive product.

Objective

Bee Inspired wanted to gain national attention for their products. The Bee Inspired team was also looking to receive recommendations from highly acclaimed individuals. Bee Inspired quickly hired M3’s Special PRops team to help spread the word.


Actions

  • To start, M3 first designed and produced a professional media kit filled with promotional materials about their company to be distributed to members of the media for promotional usage. We also developed an initial three-month communications and public relations plan, and the plan was extended for another six months due to the success.
  • After implementation, M3 secured worldwide publicity (as of November, 2011)
    • Fox Business – National coverage
    • Weight Watchers – International coverage
    • Fox 5 - San Diego, Calif.
    • L.A. Splash online magazine – Los Angeles, Calif.
    • SUN Magazine – based in the UK and distributed to 7 million weekly readers worldwide


Results

Due to M3’s refined proactive PR skills, Bee Inspired was able to launch a new product, the “Bee Inspired to Bee a Kind Kid Pail.” The press release produced and distributed by M3 gained more than 200 unique views, earning media attention from Midland Daily News and Stomp Out Bullying, a campaign endorsed by Ellen Degeneres, Paul McCCartney and many other famous celebrities (www.stompoutbullying.org).

  • Since 2010:
    • More than 3,000 units have been sold
    • The Bee Inspired webpage recieves 220 unique site visistors per week
    • The Bee Inspired Facebook Page recieves three-to-five new fans weekly (more than 1,000 total)
