  • M3 Grows to Meet Demands of Expanding ClienteleJune 15, 2010
    Lansing ----- Motion Marketing & Media's (M3's) steady growth of businesses since its rebrand in August 2009 has pushed the office into its next phase of employee expansion. Since April, the agency has seen its 10-person full-time staff grow to 14, including the creation of three new positions and the increase of one part-time to full-time position. Kristi Lewis, hired April 19, was brought on as M3's communications commander. Commander Lewis will work in various areas of account management, writing and public relations for some of M3's largest accounts, including the Sparrow Foundation.

    Lansing ----- Join Sparrow as it announces the 2010 Walmart/Sam's Club Champion Child of Michigan and celebrates this story with our community. At a press conference at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, Sparrow will share the miraculous survival story of Landon Whitaker, the 2010 Champion Child of Michigan. The press conference will be held at the Walmart in Grand Ledge (Lansing's west side). Each year, Children's Miracle Network selects one child from each state to represent as the Walmart/Sam's Club Champion Child for that state.

    Lansing ----- The Michigan Nonprofit Association has signed a 15 year agreement with Gillespie Group to move its headquarters to the Marshall Street Armory Building upon its completion. The Armory Building will undergo a full historic renovation and become a shared headquarters for local nonprofit organizations. "The Michigan Nonprofit Association is proud to be a part of this revolutionary new approach to nonprofit collaboration. We can't wait to embark on this endeavor with Gillespie Group and the other nonprofit organizations that will surely join us in taking advantage of this fresh approach to resource sharing," said Kyle Caldwell, president and CEO of the Michigan Nonprofit Association.

    Lansing ----- MSU engineering students and local middle school students are ready to knock you down with an impressive feat of math, physics, engineering and history - or at least some really big walls. On May 8, 2010, at the Marshall Street Armory, student teams will be displaying the muscle of their eight foot long medieval machines, which they have been creating over the past eight weeks, by flinging projectiles at a castle wall to knock it down.

Each year, the CMPRSA PACE Awards recognize the outstanding work produced by our region in the field of public relations. The Pinnacle Awards are considered the highest honor of each category, and are awarded based on research, implementation and measurable results of each PR tactic or campaign.
  • Revitalization Begins with a Nod to Lansing's HistoryApril 14, 2010
    Lansing ----- In remembrance of the much loved "old" City Market, elements of the building's structure will be incorporated into other buildings in the future. Many of the materials will be recycled as the building is demolished today, the first step toward Gillespie Group's Marketplace. "The old City Market building has played a key role in the shaping of the Lansing community, and we want to make sure it is recognized and remembered. The Market's door sets will be proudly displayed as part of Marketplace's design," said Pat Gillespie, president of Gillespie Group.
