A Catalyst for Michigan Communities
Michigan Interfaith Trust Fund Reveals New Name and Logo at 25th Anniversary Gala
November 23, 2010
Detroit ----- One of the most successful loan funds in the state just completed their own major revitalization. The Michigan Interfaith Trust Fund revealed a brand new name and logo at their 25th anniversary gala celebration.
The event was hosted by the Detroit Yacht Club on November 19, where attendees acknowledged the Trust Fund's hard work and accomplishments throughout their 25 year history. Surrounded by Board members, staff, supporters, generous donors and investors, the Trust Fund officially became the Opportunity Resource Fund.
The Opportunity Resource Fund promotes social and economic justice by making resources available to entrepreneurs, property owners and others in need. The new name and logo reflects a reenergized commitment to the mission and values they have advocated for since their inception in 1985.
A film premiere was the night's theme, and guests walked the red carpet while "paparazzi" snapped pictures. The culmination of the evening was the big reveal, which took place during dessert. Cakes with the new logo were presented to delighted gala attendees, as well as a three foot tall ice sculpture. With the announcement of a new name, the Opportunity Resource Fund renews their efforts, and hopes to generate interest and gain new investors.
"We celebrate 25 years of making good investments in Michigan," said Christine Coady, president and CEO of the Opportunity Resource Fund. "We remain committed to the values we've always held, while being a bit more progressive and ready to make a bigger difference for Michigan's communities."
The Opportunity Resource Fund has become a catalyst for positive change throughout Michigan's communities. By providing loans that would otherwise be out of reach, they help create mixed-use buildings, commercial spaces, jobs and affordable housing where residents can thrive.
