The world of public relations often gets a reputation for being filled with fluffy events and attention-grabbing parties. But PR has the ability to shape public, and political, perception in powerful ways that can change outcomes. In 2009, M3 joined the Gillespie Group's effort to bring a new City Market to Lansing. It was a long ride to the finish line, but our PR tactics reigned supreme.

After a summer's worth of rallies, postcards, advertisements and City Council meetings, M3's integrated crisis communication went on to win the votes of council members; plans for the new City Market were approved in August. M3 and the Gillespie Group also went on to win a PACE Award of Excellence in crisis communications for this project.

- Design and packaging of media kits for media roundtable announcing the City's endorsement and plans for Lansing's riverfront
